We wouldn’t be in this Venezuelan mess if boomers would just embrace electric flying cars. Instead of clinging to fossil fuels and 20th-century infrastructure, we could’ve invested decades ago in cleaner, decentralized energy and advanced electric transportation that reduces dependence on oil-rich but politically unstable regions.
Meanwhile, China is already building and testing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft—essentially flying car prototypes—pouring massive state and private investment into next-gen mobility while the U.S. argues about whether the future is “realistic.” The tech gap isn’t science fiction anymore; it’s a policy and generational imagination problem
