And come on over and be done with it.

That's what it's going to take.
He's going to have to call the bluff of Washington and the NCAA and file suit more than likely.
The NCAA has pretty much bent over every time they were sued. At some point, they are going to fight. It could be on this one...since this is pushing the envelope.

I'm sure UW will match his highest offer

But will they? Also appears so much damage is done PR wise and the bridge seems to be burned. Who knows nowadays though.

Washington has 2 business days to enter his name into the portal once notified in writing by Demond according to NCAA Bylaws.
Once that window passes, if they have not followed those rules, you have to assume he will do just that and proceed how he wants while attorneys take care of the rest.
They can not stop him from doing it.

Why would he be calling the bluff of the NCAA?

Why would he want to stay there now after they have tried to ruin his reputation and restrain him? The well is poisoned.

After everything Washington has tried to pull with Williams, I don’t think they could give him enough money to stay at this point. Demond will either be at LSU or somewhere else other than Washington next season.
Also Washington could not match what LSU offered. That is why this mess started to begin with

If she did indeed say that then she has some serious self reflecting to do.But remember POS is threw around a lot over here when coaches or players leave LSU.

The NCAA manages the transfer portal and creates and enforces eligibility rules.
The suggestion in the OP is that the player just bypass the transfer portal.
The player hypothetically would then sue the NCAA for eligibility.

I completely understand UW reaction I think most people on the board would be furious if it happened to us but they handled it the wrong way if they really wanted to keep him.
They should’ve taken the high road and either attempted to match the offer or say we can’t and we wish you the best and move on to another QB asap.
They are only ruining their image from a PR standpoint during the peak of the portal fighting a battle they will not win. Seems like they’ve let their emotions get the best of them and made decisions based on that.
I guess they plan on chaining him to the bench during the game and then releasing him during offensive possessions. Even if this did work out why would he want to play for them after what’s happened in less than 24 hours

Or he should have stayed in a portal the first time and came the first time. Give me Sam Levitt this kid seems like a head case. He don't know what the hell he wants. I don't care how good he is.

That precent has passed with the player from Wisconsin that is now at Miami playing this year. They did nothing to him when he just withdrew from Wisconsin and enrolled at Miami when Wisconsin refused to put him in the portal.

You got all this from a 19 year old young man changing his mind for life changing money?
Well, if the Wendy's down the street from the burger king you work at offered you more money to cook fries at their location, I'm sure you'd be all about the 35 cent raise!

What are you trying to say here?
I’m assuming you are trying to say the NCAA can’t successfully enforce its rules. If so, as I’ve mentioned, that would align with almost every case so far.

You think Sam doesn't bring baggage when he just hung around for 2 days and didn't commit, along with not attending the ASU team banquet, and also reports his family is tough to deal with?

Why?
As long as the player meets all eligibility requirements as laid out by the NCAA there should not need to be a lawsuit. Players join teams all the time without having entered the transfer portal to do it.

So this has been in the works in a while. He knew the offer was there in the beginning. But he chose the sign with Washington. I don't fricking understand this whole situation. It's stupid. If we had a way better offer than Washington then why'd he sign with them. It only looks bad on him
