It’s actually amazing college gameday is going back to back accross the country

College gameday went from phoenix to Atlanta overnight.
I know it isn’t the full set but they have to get the full cast and crew accross the country overnight. Do they charter a plane for everyone to go together? Seems like chaos for everyone to fly commercial (which I think everyone but like Herbstreit does normally right?). I assume assume crew normally busses but surely not phoenix to Atlanta overnight?

They have 2 sets.
Phoenix to Atlanta is a 26 HR drive alone.

I’m not talking about the physical sets that they aren’t even using. I mean all the people. Unless they have two crews and it’s really only the on camera personalities and I assume high level producers who need to travel overnight together

A lot of the crew will travel, but I assume most if not all cameramen, PA’s, etc are local

They probably loaded a bunch of people up on a private jet and flew there.

For round 1, they were in Norman for the Bama OU night game, then in College Station for the normal gameday slot the following morning.

Kirk is always flying. Does the Thursday NFL game, flies to gameday, then flies to wherever he is calling the game.

He's flying in a G6 or something comparable. Not exactly like he's in economy Class on Delta.

Right but must time I assume most people are traveling on their own each week. Give the coast to coast travel in 1 day I assume ESPN chartered a jet and loaded up all permanent staff to travel together.
Not gonna lie the team sounded a little rough today. I bet they’re tired.
