Which course drains the best in the Baton Rouge area. Planning on getting a round in tomorrow.
No private courses please.

Greystone tends to drain pretty well from my experience

Agree, but they have a greenskeeper revenge tournament there tomorrow, unless they cancel it.

Hands down, The Island in Plaquemine.

Is this a joke? It might be the worst draining course I’ve seen.

Santa Maria will be carts on path for the next week because of the rain last night.

Ok, so Santa Maria is out

I know he said no private courses. But Pelican Point drains amazingly well. I miss not being able to play out there.

Aren’t they still semi-private?

I don't know exactly what they are, but I had that "anniversary special" a few years back where all I paid was like $200 per year for 3 years, plus cart fee when I played. After that expired, I don't know what happened....I just know that what they wanted for me to continue being a member was way out of my price range

Played a two day tournament at The Island last summer. Rained both days. But was still very playable.

If we're lucky. Might be 2 weeks

That’s amazing if it included unlimited golf! It would be great even if it were one round a month.

the Island without a doubt...

Gonna call them in the morning to see if they have open spots. Thanks to all who answered.

The Island had an event called Robbie’s Revenge that they had schedule for today but cancelled due to the rain. I am assuming it’s like a greenskeeper revenge. Might be hard to get a tee time tomorrow but worth a shot.

I was able to get out there today. It’s unbelievable how dry it was. There were a few wet spots that caught me off guard (chunk!), but overall it was very dry. Thanks for the recommendations, guys.

Copper drains really well. Whoever said Greystone must never play there. Half the fairways drain to the middle. You have to wait a week to play there after a rain.

Had a nice little four hour and 45 min round at Santa yesterday. Over that place, the pace of play is the worst I’ve ever seen.
