So odd. This has to be a money play.

Maybe Lane wants slightly smaller and quicker linemen? I’ll trust his judgment on whether the kid is worth what he’s asking.

This one hurts a bit just based off potential but if he cant be convinced to stay no choice but to find his replacement

Sounds like we may have landed the experienced player in Darrin Strey

The downside to the "flex" that, "We have more money to spend than anybody" is that every player is going to want more from you.

How can a kid that didn’t take a snap all year want more money? lol

Well, Ole Miss will likely pay him more than LSU is, just out of spite. He can take that offer and LSU can match or replace him.
That is the reality in 2026.

Because if they want to keep him, our current lack of OL depth gives his agent some leverage. It is what it is.

I would now say the oline is in trouble. When you had him, solomon, moore, and weston, still had nucleus of high end talent guys to work with. Yeesh

He wants his fair share. He wants what he’s got coming to him.

There is no point in taking HS players anymore unless they can start/get significant snaps as a freshman. Otherwise they get paid and do this.

Did he want a guarantee that he starts next year? Geez
Now we know what is wrong with our country, this young generation is …..
Fill in the blank. Wow.

If CFB continues operating the way it is right now the days of paying big money to high school recruits will end sooner than later.
