Would be really short sighted to let LaFleur go.

He has 3 playoff wins in 7 seasons. 2 of those wins were under Rodgers at the end of his prime, both in 13-3 seasons. Then he had another 13-3 season (#1 seed) that you'll delightfully remember entailed SF coming into Lambeau and beating them in the snow in the Divisional round

His last 4 years
8-9 (no playoffs)
9-8 (7 seed)
11-6 (7 seed)
9-7-1 (7 seed)

Rodgers is gone and the NFC North is no longer the trash heap it's been. This is who the Packers are now under him. At some point it shifts from short sighted to practical

Though as a fellow Niners diehard, I would be pleased to see him in GB for the indefinite future

That includes some really injury hampered seasons and breaking in a new QB. 3/4 of those seasons they were the youngest roster in the league.

By nearly every advance measure the offenses he has designed have been top ten consistently.

Is he a top three head coach in the NFL? Unlikely, but he is objectively a top 10 coach with his track record.

Moving on likely means multiple coaching changes hoping for something better.

See the move from Steve Marriucci. He wasn’t good enough because he couldn’t get past the divisional round. Whoops. Niners wandered the desert of coaching until Harbaugh.

If the FG kicker doesn’t miss two FGs and an extra point no one is asking for LaFleurs job. That’s why this is so dumb.

Missing their two best OL, Parsons, Wyatt, etc., they did well to get to this point. Expectations change with injuries. That’s a reality not an excuse.

Shanahan has completely missed the playoffs in past seasons due to injuries.

DC sucks - Chicago went up and down field the 2nd half. Could have been worse.
