What do you think the QB recruiting plan will be?

Filling in three spots is tough. Obviously, you want Leavitt, Clark, or Longstreet. Do you think LSU can land two of three? If only one signs, what do you do for the next two? The ideal selling point is to tell the younger guys that Leavitt will be a one and done, so whoever else signs will be the heir apparent and will command a nice new contract.
The Spring portal is gone. Only grad transfers can move in the Spring. I feel like you get one of the three as your starter, you bring in a project from a smaller school (Does Clark qualify here?), and then try to land a grad after Spring.
Thoughts? Just a discussion.

Sign two of those three. Then get a grad transfer as a backup, or a juco or small school transfer as an emergency backup.

LSU can sign any Division 1 player that is currently in the portal up through fall enrollment 2026. Similarly, LSU can sign any D1 player who enters the portal on or before January 16, up through fall enrollment 2026.
Lower divisions have their own rules, but generally, LSU can sign a D2 player at least through mid-June.

Just so it’s clear, if you don’t sign one by the cutoff date to enroll, then you are taking a HUGE risk. That’s because most of the best in the portal will be taken, especially at premium positions like QB (and some others).
There is no longer a second chance because there’s no longer a Spring portal. This year requires another adjustment to how to navigate the portal.
I think that’s the reason that many have been worried.
However, I don’t think they need to start another thread about it every five minutes, either

I was discussing strategy, not who they will sign... because this is a ... you know... message board.

Not talking about you, specifically. That’s why I didn’t address it to you.
I don’t mind when threads that are original, but somewhat related with a different take, are made.
Also, I don’t like when people automatically downvote and attack other posters and topic authors without any critical thinking
