Do you have a nickname for instruments you own/play?

Just curious. One of my recent acquisitions has been afforded a pet name and didn't know if this was a thing amongst musicians.

I do not, but it isn't uncommon. Brownie, Blackie, Lucille come to mind...

A select few of mine have nicknames based on their cosmetics.
"Ruby" is the intense metalflake version of Dorothy's slippers.
"Barbie," short for BBQ, because the burst reminds me of a Carolina mustard sauce fading into a Memphis or Kansas City ketchup sauce.
The 1960 Fender (and Buick) custom color "burgundy mist" atop a 50s two-tone sunburst and heavily relic'ed is "burgundy pissed."
"Snake"

I don't really name them, but other people come up with nicknames that stuck.
My LP jr. is a stewmac kit guitar that I built and am always upgrading and rat rodding. My freind called it a "homebrew "guitar one day and I thought Homebrew was a good name.
My main telecaster is supposed to be butterscotch blonde, but it has a heavy orange/yellow tint. I always called it " the yella Telly. Another friend calls it Ol' Yeller, so I started calling it that.
My resonator guitar is now "Rez" and my Hummingbird is "The Bird".
I had a Yamaha 12 string that my wife called "Thunder" but I don't have that one anymore.

I've never named my guitars. I just have my #1 guitar and my practice guitar.

My dad played a Martin Backpacker that we used to call the "half-assed guitar".

I only have two (of three total) that I play, so it's either the electric/the acoustic or the Strat/the Washburn.
I wish I had more.
