Perpetual Oath of Truth for Public Officials

I would like to see a provision in oaths of office that explicitly forbids lying to those whom officials serve.
The oath should not only forbid lying, but should also stipulate a mandatory penalty of one year in prison for each lie told to the citizenry.

They will just claim that they spout the information given to them, and pretend to be insulated from another information. You would have to prove that they knew otherwise and still lied.
Playing dumb is simple.
A better way would be to prosecute people who pettle false information.
If you choose to die on a hill, and that hill turns into a pile of lies, you should be proscicuted. Cut, dry, and done
You would never hear another democrat speak

If they had the honor and ethics to tell the truth … they wouldn’t have become politicians

It wouldn't matter if it was in the oath. No consequence would happen anyway. Hell, we watch in real time as they criminals commit fraud and crimes and nothing has happened to a one of them.

adam schiff would end up with the electric chair if this was part of the oath. Dude is the biggest liar I've ever seen.
