and people laugh at that 2019 defense
that defense was stacked. When we were healthy the last 5 games of the year we were ELITE.

When looking back trying to figure out which team in college football is the GOAT people over look the quarterbacks that the 2019 LSU defense had to play against. Here is the list and tell me which college team played against more future starting NFL quarterbacks during their teams National Championship season.
List below:
LSU 2019 vs Quarterback
GASO's Justin Tomlin
UT's Sam Ehlinger
NWST's Shelton Eppler
Vandy's Riley Neal
Utah State's Jordan Love*
Florida's Kyle Trask
MSU's Garret Shrader
Auburn's Bo Nix*
Bama's Tua Tagovailoa*
Ole Miss' John Plumlee
Arkansas' KJ Jefferson
aTm's Kellen Mond
Georgia's Jake Fromm
Oklahoma's Jalen Hurts*
Clemson's Trevor Lawrence*
I see five future NFL starters. Nebraska and Miami defense never played against that many future NFL starting quarterbacks during their season.

That's wild.
I also remember playing Mahomes and TTech in a bowl game years back, Devin White had him running for his life but you could see he was dripping with talent back then
Same goes for Lamar Jackson, we beat Louisville handily but dude has some wheels.

What does Nebraska have to do with any of this?
Indiana/Nebraska.....just fly over states.....they are the same.

Dude is a beast. Jags fans were mad at his output, but they drafted him after his 3rd year ever playing football at all.

He was still learning to play linebacker with the jags he showed flashes but was still very raw. Glad he is do8ng well now.

Devin White wasn't on the team yet. Kendall Beckwith and Godchaux both had 2 each. But despite how much of a mismatch the line of scrimmage and DBs vs their WRs Patty made so many off script plays. Was at that game, was fun to watch.

and Aranda kept getting better and better towards the end of the season and the playoffs.

The way that defense improved week after week is honestly one of the best coaching jobs I've ever seen.

The greatest college football teams of all time often feature dominant, undefeated seasons with numerous NFL players, with top contenders frequently including the 2001 Miami Hurricanes, 2019 LSU Tigers, 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers

and 3 starters in the NFL playoffs now. The level of competition wasn't in the same universe that Miami and Nebraska had to face
