Many years ago I posted on a different board that had its own Tboy. He once posted how this video brought him to tears because of how beautiful it was. He said the music and creativity of this boy was basically beyond what most privileged white people with instruments have created.

He was going on about creative it was for this kid to "create his own musical instrument" by making armpit farts. That he had *nothing* but built his own instrument and "what a beautiful range of sounds he had mastered on his own without any formal training" etc.

How could I possibly feel safe going to or allowing any of my kids to ever go to a city where the chief of police cries like this?

You don't. Which is why I carry whenever I'm around Portland. Granted, I have the benefit of being able to drive there and not having to worry about airport frickery.
