If tweet fails to load, click here. I hate to link articles behind a paywall, but I’ll work diligently to see what I can reveal about what the article is about.
From the way this is worded, it sounds like we have a real shot to land our 3rd QB in Longstreet.

We have so much money that we can do anything we want

Miami does not like this rumor

If LSU lands Longstreet, we have the most stacked QB room in the country. I’d feel comfortable with our 1-3 QB’s and Lane.
Not sure we’ve ever been able to say that…

Kid wants to start. Not sure he'll want to come here. Sam Leavitt didn't come to LSU to be a backup.
Maybe Lane can convince him to wait and develop a year and compete against Clark in 2027?

Have to sign 3 QBs and you have to assume that 2 of the 3 we sign won’t be on the team come 2027 so we need to sign the 3 best we can.

Thought I made that fairly clear in title and in the description of thread - will add anything public ASAP.
Surely someone here is a paid subscriber and can come through with more info…

He will take all of the spring QB1 reps with Leavitt out with Lisfranc.
Might be appealing enough. Really not too many top end P4 schools for him to start at left.

Granted, but is it the best use of $$? Longstreet will cost...

Another thing to consider is that Leavitt only has 2 years of eligibility remaining. The bigger thing though, is that if Leavitt has a big year, and he has all the tools to do so, he could be a 1 year guy. Setting Longstreet up with Clark to battle it out for the starting job in 2027. Longstreet would still have 3 years of eligibility remaining, and would likely be the front runner for the LSU QB job in 2027.

There is something to for a QB to be coached by Lane Kiffin. Its like an automatic to the NFL

If Lane pulls this off.. oh the national butthurt..

Anyone planning two years out nowadays is wasting energy. Three is a pipe dream.

I've heard enough Trojan pod to know that the consensus reason for leaving is he felt like he didn't even have a chance to compete. This could be the perfect scenario for him and LSU.
