Verge had already approached Jay within the first couple of weeks of him getting the AD job and asking Jay whatever he needs they will get it done.

Like they said above, LSU Baseball will in no way suffer. It is obvious that men's basketball has been the sacrificial lamb and that will not change while Mulkey is here. Hell, it may not even change once she hangs it up. Some of our top NIL athletes have come from that program.

I have zero worries about LSU and the donors supporting the baseball team financially or otherwise.

First couple of weeks??? Hell..On the first day of the job, I would have been sitting on Jay's porch step at 4:00 a.m. waiting to kiss his arse and hold the umbrella over his head on the way to his car! Jay was the best coach on campus at the time! And still may be.....

Don't you worry about Baseball. Verge has already done more than Scott would. We are in good shape.
