Any recommendations? I don’t need anything too fancy, I just want something that’s easy to use and gets the job done.

I've had several over the years, but this is my current trimmer and like it the best of any others I've had

I don't know what you would consider too fancy, but Brio makes some good products.

Brio Trimmers

I've had mine for 6 years now and no issues.

Here's YouTube link to a reputable reviewer. Also a 10% off discount link in the description. Brio Review

This is the same one I got for Father Day last year but the Costco version, which looks the same. Solid trimmer and best one I've owned so far. I can even make a decent fade on the sides of my head into my beard

The Phillips Norelco is a great beard trimmer. Gotta watch it around you nuts if you don’t have a guard on though

I bought a better version of this one and it's doing a great job.

I have a Wahl that works just fine for me. I prefer the corded because I got tired of having to replace trimmers when the battery would no longer hold a charge.

Peanut plug in if you don't mind a cord.

Significantly more powerful than a battery operated trimmer

Any issues with it pulling your beard hair?

I bought the WAHL 9864 Stainless Lithium Ion 2.0, and it freaking sucks. I've oiled it numerous times, and it still pulls. Maybe the blades aren't sharp enough. Makes for a miserable trim.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found that out the hard way.

Second the Brio. I’ve had norelco and Panasonic. The Brio is better.
