Watching his film on offense- I mean seems like he could be next Willie roaf or next great OT Trent Williams- I mean he’s a bulldozer- and yes we all have him as edge player but what do y’all think - play both ways!?

You can't play both ways. But, that would be really cool.

Brown is so talented that he could do it, but with a guy with his abilities, I’d like him to fully focus on one position and become an All-American level player at it.

Pretty sure he wants to play DE from everything I've read. And you don't get a recruit of his caliber without giving him the position he wants to play.

I like the idea, but they probably won't do it. Nice to have a 5* on O and D in the same body! He'd solve the guard issue. Bring him in on 3rd downs on D.

That is the goal and I think we put him at right tackle and he could be a top three pick in draft 3 years from now!

With our OL situation he’s a day 1 starter there if that’s the route he chooses

I think he could play on the interior pretty quickly. Not sure he could be an early-play OT in an offseason

Who's to say that won't be the case if he plays DE?

its not about talent. its about energy, impossible to play both sides of the line of scrimmage in the SEC, he would end up getting crushed on both sides due to lack of energy

Yeah I absolutely agree and from watching his film - yeah he ‘s a bully at the right tackle!

With his talent it’ll be his choice. Two BIG money spots for NFL are LT and DE. NFL is where his expectations are.

It’s been said Lamar wanta to play defense / edge

But honestly if he worked at being a technician he looks like a natural OT moreso than defensive player to me.

I’d be in favor of the move

Oline if he's a left tackle and gives up 0 sacks or if he's an edge rusher and has over 10 sacks he's going 1st round

Went to a UHigh game this year when they played Catholic, and I was really confused watching him. He played all the offensive snaps at guard, and he subbed in infrequently at DT. He definitely was a mauler at guard, but he looked out of place on defense that day. Left that game a little confused as to what on earth U High's coach was doing with him. Will be very interesting to see where he gets reps early on.

I brought this up awhile back and I was nearly flogged.

That's why we have world class coaches and talent evaluators, back in the day I couldn't actually say that with a strait face but Im confident he will be placed in a position to be highly successful.
