The turnover at WR has me worried. Trey'Dez Green will be our only returnee who contributed much.

I don't know much about these guys, tbh.

None of them are what I would call established stars that we can pencil in to carry on the fine LSU tradition of stud recievers. Is this more of a strategy of bring in a lot of "potential" guys and hope a couple of them can be coached up to be top tier SEC recievers?

These guys have some size and athleticism, but none have been high end producers - even at the mid-major level.

Who among those that left that were Tigers had much production last year?

In the last 3 years Ole Piss has been ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the amount of plays over 20yds.. I'll trust this staff over your worries

Have a great day.

They are all better than the guys we had returning (that left). Nic Anderson might be higher…

Kyle Parker is #65 WR in portal
TaRon Francis is #76
Kylan Billiot is #85
Jelani Watkins is #86

We signed:
#12 Tre Wilson
#26 Jayce Brown
#27 Winston Watkins
#30 Tre Brown
#39 Jackson Harris

Also, some of the new receivers were top 10 in the country in YPC.

I've seen it, and it's not how they look. A lot of guys can cherry pick plays for a highlight reel. It's their productivity that concerns me. They were 2nd and 3rd options on their last team. We need guys who are going to step up to be "that dude" against SEC CBs.

Let's face it, LSU has had a lot of guys who were big, strong, fast, and with good hands who either couldn't run routes or didn't have that dog in them to win those one on one matchups.

Right. My point exactly. We ran everyone off the guys who didn't produce, but how much did we upgrade?

The positive is that Lane Kiffin always seems to be able to coach up his wide receivers. I guess we'll see.

We are set at RB, TE, and now QB on the offensive side of the ball. OL and WR are my concerns. We still have a chance to upgrade the OL a bit more.

Glad your concerned congrats.
Meanwhile in the real world LSU is top ten in portal/recruitment and the sports world is amazed at what Kiffen is doing here. Other SEC teams and fans are mad. I look forward to your WR breakdown in the spring.

Trey'Dez Green

WR

TE not WR

Secondly, some of our highest contributors at WR the past few seasons have been transfers...Brown, Thomas, Anderson, Daniels...

Goes to show how bad the former staff was at developing players

I know his rating, but would have liked to see Kyle Parker back.
Underrated.

I mean we’re also putting a lot of credit into 247’s evals. I’d gladly take Parker or Francis back, but most of the guys never really saw the field for LSU.

Yea, post less. All the WR's that transferred out were not good. All misses. All the ones transferring in are equal, but honestly they're better.

Yes, b/c they sucked. Look at the schools they signed with. That means that not many big times schools wanted Kylan Billot, Destyn Hill, or TaRon Franics.....

You can't be that dumb.....

I am not going to say that but I will say that the ones coming in look good and we are set.
