From the twitter files, it's clear this was a widespread tactic on X for political and social purposes. Is this still a tactic on other msgs boards like reddit and elsewhere? I feel like I've seen an uptick, anyone else?

This place is inundated. Fortunately they’re hilariously obvious.

Geekboy--- don't think he's a bot but could be Ben Shapiro.

Reddit is absolutely crawling with bots. A smaller one like TD probably gets a handful normally and completely infested during election season.

Which board to trust when discussing which boards are bots and not the current board one is in is currently an issue.

They try, but they just can’t survive in this sort of format. They need a massive open generic, platform that is too big to monitor and moves fast. TD is more deliberate and not nearly as big.

Bots don’t survive here… but paid posters and opinion amplifiers thrive

I’d guess 20-30% of active posters, and 50-70% of upvotes/downvotes, are from sock puppet accounts
