I get it, last night should have without a doubt been a W, that crap cannot happen at the end of any game, but does anyone have any sort of sympathy for McChoke? Like at all?
College basketball is all about having a guy that can just go, ex.(Kansas & BYU this year) Without that, you have zero chance to be consistent in a Power 4 conference.
Throw in DJ Thomas, and this team is 3-1 in SEC play, not to mention losing Reed early in the season. I think people are delusional thinking we are awful when we lost our PPG, APG, & SPG leader right before the SEC gauntlet began. LSU has never had the depth that other SEC schools have and losing our all around best player has just been blowing smoke on the coach. Right now its all about if Max is hitting or not.
Do I think he's a great coach? Hell no, he's dull, lackluster and times, and struggles with the X's and O's of the game.
But do I think he needs to start flipping burgers if we lose on Saturday? Hell no, we lost our best player, which is the reason we are 0-4 in SEC play. The drop-off from DJ to Reece is huge and has showed big time in our 4 SEC games (esp @ A&M). With DJ, we are 3-1 in conference. Let's calm down on the McMahon banter and see if this team looks any different with his guy before we go after his neck.

Nobody thinks he should be flipping burgers. He has had success at mid majors and can likely easily land another job there.
HOWEVER, his record at LSU speaks for itself! Whether he has been extremely un-lucky with injuries or just can't seem to get it together at LSU, its Time for a change!

We are the only team without a conference win. And one of those losses is to the second worse team.

While some of this may be true I couldn’t care less bruh. It’s year 4 and we are 0-4 in conference play. It’s unfortunate that injuries very likely will cost him his job but that’s just how it is when you’re in year 4 with the SEC record he has

And with the millions we've paid him to poorly coach and the millions we'll pay him to terminate his contract, he shouldn't be flipping burgers. I was at LSU 79-83, and basketball was huge. We dominated teams, though Dale would always find a way to loose in the tournament. It would be fun to see the Tigers play like that again!

I'm not that big of a basketball guy, so I have not had an opinion on this at all...But how can you make more excuses for this guy after last night?
