Imagine This Staff In Their First Home Game | Re: Kevin Smith

If tweet fails to load, click here. If this is our RB coach listening to one song from Boosie in his car, imagine our entire staff as the energy from the first home game against Clemson truly shows them why they all came.
It’s a mostly intact offensive staff transplanted directly from Ole Miss.
They’ve seen it as the away team. I, for one, can’t wait to see their reactions as the home team when it really sinks in how much they upgraded.
They can walk through the stadium at any point but that week 1 home game against Clemson is going to be an absolute volcanic eruption of support and noise.
Would love to hear y’all’s opinion.

I don’t even remember the last time we had a Week 1 home game. Especially one of this magnitude

Covid season I think, lost to Mississippi State in the 2:30 window in our first game after the national title win.
Gave up 623 yards passing to KJ Costello (who was terrible, also an SEC record for passing yards in a game).
I wish I didn’t remember it, but it has stuck with me. I was an eyewitness.
ETA:
2020 home loss to Miss. State, mentioned above
2021 away game loss in Rose Bowl (I was there as well)
2022 loss to FSU in Superdome on a missed PAT with no time on clock (had a 99 yard TD drive that would’ve tied the game - I was also there)
2023 away game loss in Tallahassee to FSU
(I was not there)
2024 loss to USC in Las Vegas (I was there)
2025 win @ Clemson (I was not there)

I have a feeling Tiger Stadium will be the loudest it’s been on a consistent basis since 2019…. There were a few loud points under BK, particularly Bama in 2023, but never at any point was it consistent.

Our team will be exciting to watch on both sides and our schedule is stacked.
Home games versus Clemson, Texas A&M, Miss State, Alabama, and Texas.

But seriously, let the band play just anything. Set it off and Callin Baton Rouge should be gameday staples, but other than that let's reel in the piped in music a bit and let the band play
