Dear Conservative. The Insurrection Act history lesson.

We have conservatives here freaking out over this saying things like it's unconstitutional.
So, let's dive shall we? Please open your book and turn to page 1 of USA History.
- 1792. It was called the Calling Forth Act. authorizing the president to deploy federal military forces (not just state militias) to suppress insurrections, rebellions, or obstructions to federal or state laws under certain conditions.
Please turn to page 2
- 1807. Insurrection Act of 1807... Replaced the above.
It's been used roughly 30 times. Even in 1992 with the LA riots.
Now. Here is another aspect that you need to WAKE UP to. THIS IS NOT SOME GAME BEING PLAYED BY MARXISTS. They are serious and they are not going to take it laying down. These people 100% believe we are NAZIs and all the things due to people like Clinton, Kaine, Maxine, Walz....etc.
So when or IF the Insurrection act is used, there will be some blow back from them and this is where it get real. If they fight back and attack our uniform guys, we could see martial law.
Now before you freak out over that, it's been used in the USA more than double that of the Insurrection act.
Under full martial law (military replacing civilian rule in an area), authorities could impose censorship, shutdown orders, or internet restrictions if deemed essential for "public safety" or security — similar to Hawaii's media controls after Pearl Harbor. This might include blocking platforms, requiring content removal, or cutting access to prevent coordination of unrest or spread of sensitive info.
What about freedom of Speech? No, freedom of speech under the First Amendment does not protect organizing groups specifically to "combat" (meaning use force or violence against) federal law enforcement officers (LEOs). While the First Amendment broadly safeguards speech, assembly, association, and the right to form groups—even for controversial or anti-government views—there are clear limits when organizing crosses into planning, inciting, or conspiring to commit unlawful acts.
The Supreme Court has established strict tests for when speech or organizing loses protection:
Incitement (Brandenburg v. Ohio, 1969)
Speech (including calls to organize or act) is unprotected only if it is:
Directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action, and
Likely to incite or produce such action.
So... Conservative friends. If they use social media or internet to organize to fight against Federal LEO, you could see the internet go down in that area.

That's what I thought. You have a mental picture of a USA that never was.
I gave you the dates and the numbers. There is a reason it was included from the beginning.
You do not want a real conversation, you simply want to cry all over a message board.

I just want to keep my internet dude.

As do I. My stocks would take a massive hit. It would keep me from doing business. BUT, we are not talking about nationally. We are talking mainly Mn.
Freedom of Speech does not include organizing methods to obstruct LEO. The SCOTUS has ruled on that.
Do I wish we were not in this mess? YEP! But like I said above. We are not in some sort of game. You can not tell me that you believe that the left, like Walz (who stated China has moral authority over the USA) is simply trying to get votes. They aren't. This is not a game to them.

If we are going to take down the internet because someone uses it for something bad, then we can pretty much use the same logic to ban just about everything else because someone will misuse it.
Quit being a retard, we aren’t Iran

Nah, these Trump sycophants want this.

You can ignore history if you want. Ignore the SCOTUS. Ignore the laws.
That does not change them nor the rulings that make up USA History and Constitution.

It's not misuse. It organizing to create conflict with LEO and inciting violence. That's 100% not free speech.
I can not help that you do not like our history or laws.

What a lame argument. Who said it was Pearl? Nobody. I stated that after Pearl happened we did it and it was legal because... you know... That thing called US Constitution.
Like I told your buddy. I can not help that you do not know our Constitution nor our history. I can not help that after being told you don't like it.

Is the government in the thread with us right now Mr paranoid?

We have this thing called the justice system with these things called courts. Those courts are where it’s determined if someone is guilty of a crime, not what some rando like you says on the internet.
I’d also be very careful, because maybe the next liberal admin comes in and decides that Truth social is responsible for inciting violence according to whatever logic they choose to make up on that given day (like you are here).
