...the most damaging sports loss since Game 6 of the 2016 NBA WCF?
The Thunder lost Game 6 of the WCF at home on the way to blowing a 3-1 lead. Then KD left for the team that beat them. This hamstrung the franchise for a half decade. Of course, they've bounced back.
Had the Jays won Game 7, there's a nonzero chance the extra revenue would've enabled them to not only retain Bo but also resign Kyle Tucker, positioning themselves as a superpower in the AL at least for the rest of the decade. Instead, they have neither. I really feel for Jays fans. As bad as losing Game 7 was at the time, it just got exponentially worse.

They’ve still done pretty well in free agency this year
Cease, Ponce (good in Asia last year), Rogers strengthens an already good pitching staff.
Okamoto we will see about but that’s a plug and play third baseman. Still absolutely one of the best teams in the AL and they could still get in on Bellinger if they want.

That damn Game 7 was like a 100 year flood. You can put whatever superlative on it you want.
