Portal season ends? I thought you enter portal till Friday 16th. But you can still sign

People keep saying Portal season is over. Is it? I thought you have 10 days to enter. Then you can sign with anyone if they want you. Signing portal season has not ended just getting into portal has.
Someone help with this and explain.

Players can still sign whenever they want, but LSU's deadline to enroll is Thursday. The class will have to be finished by then

We can still add non-SEC portal transfers after Thursday. Correct? The deadline next week is for SEC to SEC transfers?

Players can enroll later as well I believe. They just wont be able to participate in spring ball if they dont enroll by Thurs and then dont participate in a spring semester. Not sure though

The majority of 5 and 4 stars are committed and no one else can jump in now. Portal season isn’t done, but you can make a reasonable assessment for winners and losers now. That’s all the media gives a shite about.
Obviously this doesn’t include the Miami and Indiana players and there are still a few big names out there…which hopefully come to Baton Rouge

Wrong. That's just if they want to participate in spring practice. There will be many players who entered the portal who don't transfer until after this semester.

There used to be different dates for portal transfers within conference & portal transfers out of conference. Within SEC transfers HAVE to be enrolled next Thursday. I’m not sure non-SEC portal transfers do.

I saw somewhere that there were about 1,000 players in the portal that have not signed.
