Brilliant to acquire the minerals…not about security.
But, f’ing do no threaten a trade war as that hurts the US as well as Europe.
Just pull out of NATO. Those European pansies would fold in 2 mins.

Only part I agree with is the last one. Trade negotiations should be reevaluated annually imo based on working relationships. Security is actually a huge thing and you should look into why.

NATO is outdated. It does very little for the US. However, it is critical for the EU since they have relied on our protection for decades.
Trump is all about finding pressure points and exerting leverage. Threatening to leave NATO is the ultimate leverage move here.

He's literally been threatening to leave NATO for over 10 years at this point.
Over specific issues and also just because.
If I were Europe I think my conclusion would be that if he really were going to do it, he'd have done it by now.

The relationship with Europe has gotten worse every day. Europe needs us because of Putin, we don’t need them at all. I wouldn’t press the threat if I were Europe we’re only in year 2 where countries are being leveraged back to our benefit.

NATO is also a sacred cow that we can't talk about.
Trump is the only one who is willing to talk about these third rail issues.
Europe has taken advantage of the US for decades and we aren't supposed to complain.
