So the two head coaches in the Super Bowl are defensive head coaches. And they beat offensive gurus Payton, McVey and Shanahan to get there.

Can we stop with the “you have to have a young offensive coordinator as your head coach meme?”

I mean, Seahawks offense is fricking rolling and the Pats played Stidham today on the afc champ game

Defense absolutely matters but I’m not sure it’s quite what you are making it

I think it has more to do with Vrabel being an excellent head coach than him being defensive minded.

Using two games as your sample where the offensive coach team had to play a backup QB isn’t a strong argument.
