Koepka’s return on featured group coverage starting Thursday.
Will he make the cut? Played well in his final 2 events on DP Tour in 2025

Not a fan of his but still love that he’s back. Golf is better when it has characters. Would love to see Bryson and Patrick reed back

to be back competing against Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy on the PGA Tour.
I think he knew that he didn’t have the temperament to challenge for week to week contention, so he took the $$$ & went to LIV. I think Scottie’s PGA career earnings has surpassed $100m, plus his off-course earnings, and is a US Open victory away from a career Grand Slam. Not bad for a young, 8yr career…

Koepka beats “generational talent” Ludvig Aberg by 5 strokes in his return to the PGA Tour. Impressive stuff!

Maybe Aberg should go to LIV. Can’t compete with the big boys

Kind of important to sort NC vs SC players here. The North Course is a lot easier than the South Course. The round isn't over yet, but it looks like 40 of the top 50 played the NC. We will see how things shake out when everyone swaps courses tomorrow

Exactly. Kinda like last week’s tournament.

Wait a minute, the PGA put Koepka in a featured group?
I'll never understand how Koepka was somehow exempt from the "We must trash every LIV player". He took the money just like everyone else. But not only do they make special rules for him to allow him to play immediately, but they promote him as one of the game's top players.
Koepka wins regular events at about the same rate as Russell Henly.

I think there are three reasons. First, it was always clear that Brooks thought all of the LIV stuff was lame. Second, he was wasn't part of the lawsuit against the PGA Tour. Third, he actually won a major after he left. People thought he was done when he left, but he almost won the Masters and won his 3rd PGA Championship.

He has always been "too cool for school". He was too cool to admit that he practiced.

Fair enough
Still funny that after all the hate Phil Mickelson gets for helping to set up LIV, the PGA Tour copied much of what he said they should have been doing.

Everything Phil said was absolute horseshite
In order to compete with Saudi unlimited oil money, the PGA tour had to sell its soul to private equity to have money to pay more and also reduce fields
Phil said they were sitting on billions and hoarding money

I guess Homa is not back.
+3 and my pick for this week.
Thought I was onto something after his American Express showing.

Ludvig played terrible at Pebble last year after getting sick at the Farmers.
Not shocked he played terribly yesterday after getting sick at the AmEx.
I think he’ll recover well at Pebble and wouldn’t be shocked if he wins there.
