Being called “Sir”, when previously I was rarely ever called that.

Although, I don’t think that’s as bad as a woman being referred to as “ma’am”. That has to feel worse than “Sir”.

Middle aged men were calling me "sir" when I was 23.

Where are you from? I grew up on ma'am and sir and use it no matter the age of the person I'm speaking to.

Hell, I say ma'am and sir to my 1yr and 3yr old grandchildren.

I say it to the person at the grocery, the chick fil a, the delivery person...

It's manners and good manners are ageless.

For me, it was it went from:

"Oh, I'll just jump down from this and its fine"

Or

"I'll just bend over and grab this off the ground"

Once my back went the first time and my body telling me a fall might hurt, I knew I was no spring chicken.

Ask any woman, of any age, which makes her feel old:

“Excuse me, Miss”

“Excuse me, Ma’am”

When go from a “Miss to a Ma’am”, don’t think women don’t notice that

In the last few years I’ve been using urbandictionary.com to keep up with slang.

It’s possible “Sir” is becoming more common in the lexicon. The “Yessirrr” people I want to punch in the face

Well... I feel like I may personally have some insight into this.

Some women and men get het up over manners, but many don't.

And I honestly don't much care what mannerless heathens think about my manners.

You live on the edge.

The edge of, I almost tore this, or I almost broke that.

The edge of, I could eat that but my stomach will be tore up so I'll just have a bite.

I'll only drink two beers or I'll be a dehydrated hungover mess.

Being old = living on the edge without trying, the edge just got closer

You don't recognize the celebrity spokespeople in ads. I thought this guy Druski was just a random small-time TV commercial actor.

If you are breathing you are getting old. For many people minor problems start at 40 (reading glasses, etc) and by 50 the check engine light comes on so much you have to take the bulb out.

When you stop in your tracks, look around in confusion, and ask yourself, "Did I fap today?"

Im 48
Still married to my sexy arse wife.
Three kids, 2.5 grandkids and a damn good job. I refuse to get old. My wife tells me all the time I need to grow up. Only the time I feel old is when I first get up I pop and lock for about 10 minutes then I’m good to go.
