Well done if true but that pic looks very AI generated to me.

A car carrying only those three preteen girls went into the river?

I remember this. It's old.
The girls were driving on a road under the interstate. Their GPS thought they were on I-10 and led them into the water.
The cop jumped in to rescue them, only to get into trouble himself.
The kid saved all four of them. He should have lifetime immunity from speeding tickets.

Thought it might be a fake photo. Incident happened at night and the girls were older and black.

Older story, but awesome young man. What he did was incredible. I've seen him interviewed and he's great.

- The post retells a verified 2022 incident where 16-year-old Corion Evans heroically rescued three girls from a submerged car in Mississippi's Pascagoula River and assisted a struggling police officer, earning widespread acclaim and a GoFundMe for his education.
- It features an AI-generated image dramatizing the daytime rescue with Evans holding white girls in swimsuits, contrasting the real nighttime event captured in blurry, dark photos where details like victim appearances are unclear.
- Thread responses mix praise for Evans' selflessness, links to original coverage, and discussions on racial narratives, including debunking swimming myths about Black people and critiquing the image's potential to emphasize cross-racial heroism.

I knew this the second I saw a black man swimming in water. With all due respect

He immediately jumped in and so did the cop in full uniform when he arrived 15 minutes later but they’re in the same pic.
Of course it’s fake.

Image shown is AI generated but the story is legitimate. Story is also from three-and-a-half years ago.
