Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality. But... there is, unseen by most, an underworld, a place that is just as real, but not as brightly lit... a Darkside.

Anyone watch this back in the 80s? I recently found them and watched a few. They are surprisingly entertaining. Short and sweet. Some are more retarded than others but overall a good throwback.

Deliver Us From Goodness was hilarious.

Good to take your mind off of all the bullshite in this world.

Love the show. I am really upset that the Comet channel got taken off my programming. It would come on the weekends and I killed time with it before football came on.

Hell, yes!

The Geezenstacks was a great episode, as was the one about the old black dude who came back to life to retrieve a stolen ring.

Until next time, try to enjoy the daylight!!

Wasn't there an episode where a woman goes to the mall and is shopping for her niece or nephews birthday gift? She arrives as the mall is closing, and she manages to get the gift. As she's leaving, she starts getting harassed or something by people in the mall telling her she has to stay because her time on the outside is over. Come to find out, she was a mannequin in the store that they let out or something but she has no recollection of that. She slowly starts turning into a mannequin, limb by limb as she is absolutely terrified. At the end, she fully turns into a mannequin.

As a kid, when I was at the mall near closing, that shite terrified me.

Good series but I always enjoyed takes from the crypt or the OG twilight zone better.

This was a great genre in the 80s, along with Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Ray Bradbury Theater, The Hitchhiker, Twilight Zone, etc.

Bruh. One of my youngest memories was catching the opening one night by accident and I literally didn’t sleep a wink.

For a time in my youth Darkside was the last show on my Sunday night line up that included Star Trek TNG and Monsters (had same co producer as Darkside) It was probably the worst thing a highly imaginative 10 year old should be watching before bed on a Sunday night. Some of those episodes scared the living shite out of me.

I think the Monsters in My Room was probably the worst for obvious reasons..

and yea that is a young Seth Green.

Tales From The Dark Side, Tales From The Crypt, Monsters and Amazing Stories were all great series from the 80s and 90s.

How about Tales of the Unexpected? Those were a little more subtle.

There was a Tales from the Darkside episode where a woman's bed would eat her male companions after copulation that I recall. I think she met her match when a man's refrigerator ate her at the end, unless I'm misremembering.

I think it was an Amazing Stories episode where a kid had a Shadow Man living under his bed that at first terrified him. The he encountered some street toughs and the shadow man beat the shite out of them. So then he got big and bad and would go around and start shite to watch his shadow man beat arse. And then at the end, he picked a fight thinking Shadow Man would step in, but as the Shadow Man grew closer, the kid asked the hell was up; Shadow Man wasn't supposed to hurt him, and the Shadow Man responded that he was someone else's Shadow Man. Haunted a young Sidetrack Silvera.

Also recall a Tales from the Crypt with Don Rickles as a ventriloquist whose tiny, deformed brother was the doll and he got angry and attached himself to Don's hand, or maybe Don's replacement's hand, and the full sized man had to take an axe and cleave the small brother smoove off his arm. Ghastly.

The Shadow Man episode is from the new Twilight Zone revival in 1985. Great episode!

I also remember the Don Rickles episode from Darkside. Great stuff!
