Ragin Cajun all time great basketball player has passed. RIP

Unfortunately I never got to see him play as he was before my time. Anybody here see him play?

He was the first college basketball player to capture my attention as a kid in Lafayette when he was at USL. I was 11 when he graduated from USL.

RIP Bo Lamar.

If you want to see a tale of NCAA overreach, take a look at what happened to the USL basketball program in that time period.

Yes , saw him play vs Tech at Ruston once. Both had good teams, Tech better inside with Mike Green but Lamar lit it up from all over. He was tossing them up from nearly half court at times. Think he had about 50 that night and final was something like 105-100. Wild game
