But the lady at the gate said I cannot leave between games and come back in. That makes no sense to me. Who is going to sit in that shithole ballpark for 8+ hours?

"No re-entry" is such a shitty, lazy policy.

They absolutely have the technology to track comers and goers. They just don't want you to be able to enjoy food and drink that isn't overpriced garbage. Many such cases.

They are holding you hostage there.

LSU should be playing tournaments in MLB stadiums, not the Jax's knockoff Zephyr Field.

It’s embarrassing. Parking lot people couldn’t give me a straight answer for how long we could park there, saying I couldn’t park there all day because there was another event nearby tonight. So I’m supposed to move my car during the second game potentially, with no reentry? Outfield gate said absolutely no reentry, front gate guy gave me a stamp on the hand for reentry though. Don’t trust how official that is. Big screen in the outfield works sometimes. Underwhelming first visit to Jacksonville so far

The place looked over half empty from the clips I saw...seems a bit ridiculous to play ticket police.

Between these onsite reports and the stupid arse streaming setup, it seems much like every other experience these days, corporations are watering it all down. The enshitification of everything continues…

You can point to a more simpler reality - LSU should not be playing in tournaments in which it's the only team that made the previous NCAA Tourney

This weekend should be in Baton Rouge or LSU should be playing actual competition somewhere else

An 8-9 hour drive to a region with few LSU fans (when we're the only team with anything resembling a following there) is an embarrassing parting present from Woodward

Nah, even if it’s neutral site, it’s good that the team’s first road game and/or first game outside of Louisiana happens before SEC play starts.

Playing Indiana/ND/UCF in a different state allows for more data on this team than playing at the Box against a Milwaukee equivalent

Its Friday folks people work. Stadium was half full and 97 % were LSU fans. Saturday will be much better. We had a great time 12 dollar parking right next to the stadium and food was great all for under 15.00. WTF are people bitching in here for? Great breeze and some good LSU baseball in Florida. Jesus people you people bitch about everything

fricking Kendall Rogers

D1 came about as a free service to bring college baseball to the forefront...

And 5 yrs later needs to end because they've monetized breathing, and cant run a 4 team tournament or stream to anybody

frick em

Am i doing it right?

Would probably be the case. Really wish we could schedule some actual meat before conference play. Back in 2011 we had a March home series against #6 Cal St. Fullerton, we swept and it rocked.

I see where you're coming from, but fans spend way too much money these days to be squeezed even more for a shitty product in both the stream quality and the tournament itself.

OP is right, this program is too good to be playing in this weak of a tournament and poor host site. This is like playing in the Cayman Islands Classic when we should be in the Players Era Fest.

Jay loves these tournaments. This has nothing to do with Woodward and they’re not going to stop. He thinks it helps him prepare his team for the postseason and Omaha. It’s one weekend of inconvenience to better prepare the team you claim to love for a a championship. I think you can get over it.

Ironically, that’s the last time an LSU team didn’t make the NCAA tourney

Even worse, we didn't even make the SEC Tourney!
