If tweet fails to load, click here. I’m sure the money & weapons we sent didn’t make it into their hands

I wonder how Putin feels about a good ole American adversary (Cartels) now being his adversary.
TImes are super interesting.

I guess they needed to go somewhere else once we stopped training them

everyone has got to learn somehow I guess. North Korea taught the Official IRA, Libya taught the Provisional IRA, the Provisional IRA taught FARC.... it's called passing on knowledge and wed have nothing without it.

I'd bet there are more cartel members that have never left Mexico, that are ready.

Wellllllll, maybe, a little bit. Although, I never once heard that .... and I spent some time in Northern Ireland with the SAS. That's how I met my first wife (ex wife) while hospitalized in Newcastle where she was a nurse. Although most of my time up there was spent in Redesdale and Otterburn
Most of the true hardcore IRA were trained by their own. It started with Irish WWII vets training IRA guys in the 50s and 60s. Those early guys learned OJT and passed it on to the younger guys. The IRA was a rough murderous bunch that used wicked tactics. They were bloody savages.
Some did train in Libya, especially the explosives guys ... there were Red Bridadé and Badar Meinhoff and even some Red Army Japanese factions there in the 70s and 80s as well. Libya, and in remote camps in Yemen and, if I remember correctly, Algiers.
But the IRA was mostly trained from within though financed by wealthy Bostonians and New Yorkers ... and Irish Mobsters. Gun running from America to Ireland was big business for the Irish AND Italian mobs in the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
We pretty much had it cut off by '85. The SAS was doing good work in the 80s and 90s ... but it left Ireland toothless and cucked and now the Muslims are overrunning them with the help of Keir Starmer.
I've just never heard the North Korean connection before ... but I suppose it's possible, maybe, I dunno.
The PLA made money training IRA in explosives, in Libya, I know that for a fact.

Verrrry interesting id love to have a chat with you sometime. I have some family that was on the opposite side of you, im actually going to be back in Belfast next month. My uncle is very involved in RSF even today.
I suppose "trained" was a strong word. The Officials definitely spent some time in NK, but it was mostly because of their counterfeit dollars scam they had going with the Kim regime. And that was the Officials, who by that point had completely stopped any sort of military operations, besides punishment shootings and inter-republican feuding.
Im a dual citizen and learning more about the troubles is one of my passions. All of my family that was involved to any extent is dead or else ive completely lost touch with them, except for my uncle that I mentioned. I have gotten to speak to a lot of guys from the IRA , INLA, as well as the loyalist side. It's fascinating how many people walk among us that are capable of those things.

Yeah, you know, I do remember something about that fifteen or twenty years ago. I was long out by then but I do remember hearing that the NKs were the best counterfeiters in the world. I think they're the ones who forced us to redesign our currency and put the strip in them and the hologram.
Belfast is a different world now than it was when I was there as an observer. The SAS did counter domestic terrorism the best in those days. It's a different world than it was when my current wife and I went as tourists ten years ago.
What the British government and the EU did to Ireland this century is a fooqing crime.

ireland has always gotten the worst of it just based on its location. Next to a superpower is a bad place to be, very often.
Sean Garland supposedly came back from Pyongyang with suitcases full of perfect 100 dollar bills, the OIRA was a big part of the trafficking of those super dollars
Supposedly the Officials still have a cache of 10k rifles somewhere just in case, but id be surprised if that wasnt true of all the paramilitary groups. Although now the only way the IRA kills you is if you try and get in the way of their Sinn Fein councillors and community workers getting paid.
ONH is a cowboy crew, young guys with nothing to lose that actually do kill pretty often, mostly drug dealers. Sometimes each other. But all the main groups are getting big bucks from Westminster to keep a lid on things.
I remmeber going to Belfast in the 90s when I was like 10 and just all the shite we had to go through to even get in. It really was a different world.

They are also getting training in drones.
From The Latin Times
........according to a recent investigation, some cartel operatives from Mexico and Colombia are now infiltrating Ukraine's foreign fighter groups to strengthen their drone warfare capabilities.
