United States of Middle East America?

I am a conservative and have always supported Republicans but I am no advocate for war—especially those we’ve been gaslighted into starting since the 1970s. The constant talking points of Iran being close to a nuclear bomb have been repeated over the last 50 years. These conflicts in the Middle East have consistently served Israel’s interests above all else. At what point do we finally say enough? An attack on Iran won’t usher in meaningful regime change; it will change nothing of substance. The only path to real transformation would be a complete takeover, turning the region into a de facto “United States of the Middle East”—an idea I staunchly oppose. Continuing to pour American resources into endless interventions serves no true U.S. interest; it’s time to prioritize our own nation and not Israel.

I assume some who post such have little or no firsthand experience going back to the 70s. Two things to consider: the emergence of OPEC and the Iranian regime change from the Shah to today's Mullahs

Nothing posted on TD or anywhere else online is going to change anyone's mind or alter the path that's been laid out.
Iran has been a pariah in the ME since 1979. Anyone alive and aware of events of the Islamic takeover will be forced to be honest with themselves and see that yes - regime change is a good thing. Unlike with Iraq, Iran has a national pride and history that's been chained for nearly 50 years.
The closest comparison to this happening is the fall of the Berlin Wall & collapse of the Soviet Union.

All the time, money, and resources needed to send to carrier groups to the ME could have been spent sending every Somali back to Somalia.
