Jay bragged about Yorke being a pure hitter

Was supposed to spray the ball to all fields. Not dogging on him, just making an observation that we haven’t seen that from him yet. It’s all pull and popups so far. I’m curious if he’s being asked to be more of a power hitter in this lineup and this is the result.

I mean, it's what he was.
I'm sure coming here, they (both Yorke and LSU) wanted to tap into the power more. Hopefully, he works out the kinks and gets back to driving the baseball.
If it means he hits a few more fly balls in March, it will all be worth it in May.

Yeah when he’s on he shits on balls. If he can pop a couple out in SEC play that’s more advantageous in the long run than hitting back side singles like Curiel. Just was expecting a more balanced approach and that’s obviously not the plan for him here.

The rant doesn’t take this approach. We should win the natty everyday. There is no room to grow or get into a slump.
