Let's do that for now instead of all the overthinking

Sometimes you have to simplify when you have paralysis by analysis. Which is what is happening now

Again, that’s not how this works

Yes it is
And yes, I know what all Jay teaches and wants them to do. The videos are widely available

No, I know the smartass comments Broski is going with because Jay has a much more complicated approach to what he tries to get the players to do based on the count.

No, I’m not going with that at all. I just always think it’s funny when posters use meaningless baseball cliches to fix LSU.
Happens every season

I bet Jay checking posts in dugout

Then tell us how it really works instead of just continuing to say that’s not how it works or else what you say is bullshite.

This isn't middle school baseball, telling college players to abandon their approach and just react to what pitch is coming (see ball, hit ball) will lead to a lot more strikeouts and foolish swings.

"The phrase "see the ball, hit the ball" is a popular, simplified hitting philosophy emphasized by MLB all-time hit leader Pete Rose, who often used it to describe his straightforward approach. Other notable players and figures who have used or echoed this mentality include:
Tony Perez: The Hall of Famer used this exact phrase to describe his focus on the pitch, particularly with men on base.
Manny Machado: Has referred to "see ball, hit ball" as a way to keep hitting simple."
But Broski knows better

Oh good god, congrats on finding anecdotes from the 80's to prove absolutely nothing.

No, every hitting coach across all levels of baseball from high school to the show does though.

See ball
I do not understand why coaches teach hitters to think so much at the plate.
Relax and clear the mind, see the ball. Swing the bat instinctively based on what your eyes see and relate to your subconscious mind. Too much use of the conscious mind gums up the works and slows things down.
A good and effective swing is absolutely necessary, but learning to really see the ball is the secret of good hitting.
