DGAF if he was dying. It sounds like absolute garbage. NIN 100 times better. I’m tired of hearing how great a cover it is. It sucks!

Without the video, it's an average song. The video adds a lot more to it.

it made me go back and listen to the NIN version and that is much better, but i wouldnt say Cash's version sucks.

People aren’t able to differentiate between a good story and a good song. The cover has a good backstory, but it isn’t a good song. People act like since the cover has a good backstory it automatically makes it a good song.
