Yes. It is. Talk about this in May. We lost 15 games last year and won a championship. Going undefeated was and is never going to happen. The days of being five furlongs ahead of our non conference opponents are history due to the portal and NIL.
I have no doubt that CJJ wants to win every game but, just as importantly, he is tinkering with line up and pitching order. (think Shores early last season).
Bullpen, not weekend pitching in the last two games are intentional. Errors are inevitable and correctable. And yes, we are ice cold at the plate, but we have these hitting slumps every year. And so does every baseball team. Things are changing in significant ways. Curiel got three hits last night. Best performance of the year.
