All major coaches do this, but that was some of the most egregious BS I've ever seen swept under a rug.
Mixon ragdolled that girl around and beat her closed-fisted like a man, fracturing multiple bones in her face, but he was a certain future draft pick so his punishment was sitting out a season instead of the 10 years in prison the rest of us would have gotten.
But like I said, it's not like Stoops was the only big coach at a P5 school to ever cover for a player.
