This and/or triazicide. I treat the exterior of the house with good misting of permethrin then treat the yard with triazicide. My main concerns are mosquitoes and spiders though.

Nothing really works. The life cycle is so short that essentially you'd have to put something down twice a week.

Lather up with that gnat repellent. It sucks that they decide to come out during nice weather

Permetherin has pretty good sticking power. Also about the safest effective insecticide for people. I love that stuff.

Cut a hole in your britches to keep them out of your face

Can you spray Permethrin on your yard? Or is it just for clothes, structures, etc?

2 bottles of cheap vanilla extract and fill the rest of garden sprayer with water. Spray entire yard, it’ll work until nightfall then you’ll have to repeat after dew dries the following morning.

If you don't find the smell of peppermint offensive, peppermint oil works really well as a repellant.
Just get a bottle of concentrated peppermint oil (easily found on Amazon), soak a cotton ball with it, then rub it around your shirt collar/sleeves/on a hat if you are wearing one, etc...

It will keep the little bastards out of your face, and it washes out of the clothes.

Another trick is to soak pine cones with it and place them in containers around where you sit outside. It keeps them and the mosquitos away.

I spray permethrin on my goats, chickens, cows, all their pens, and all around their yards. I can tell when it starts to wear off.
