He has to know. He sees what everybody else sees. There is no valid reason that I can think of to keep Yorke in the lineup.
Yet he will trot out there next inning as if nothing has happened.

Probably promised the kid the starting job or some BS like that. We all bought into the BS that Yorke was going to a fixture in the lineup.

He’s too good of a coach to sacrifice team morale for the sake of something like that. As frustrated as we are I can assure you the guys on the team are feeling it even more.

I just hope when Carraway is back from illness we rotate him for Yorke. If Yamin is capable of providing any offense he would be a good bet too.

Brady Neal robbed a HR against OU this weekend.. in RF.. what’s your point?

He was an awful bat in 2024 and didn’t deserve playing time, which he was given to appease him.
Thought that was pretty clear given the conversation

If he promised York the full time gig during recruiting, you have to honor it. It just takes 1 broken promise for a stud recruit to say in a meeting “how do I know you’re not gonna go back on your promise to me.”
I’m obviously not a coach, but I’d rather instead of promising a starting gig for the year, promise being the first guy and getting a month to prove yourself.
