Serious question. I don't see any other way here. It sucks, because we all didn't want a war, but what choice is there other than regime change? Even if you put boots on the ground along the coast of Iran to secure the straight, you still have to deal with the regime shooting missiles at our boys from further inland and they still have the range to mess with ships going through the straight. Bombing isn't working. The clock is ticking to end this by any means necessary or gas, food, and other goods, right here in the United States, will continue to go up, which means more money out of your pocket.

At this point, who is the regime, how is it changed, and what does the new one look like?

Regime change is the only way to guarantee they don't keep trying to get nukes too.

Arm the uprising. Given them communications, guns and a couple of hundred thousand drones if need be.

Because that kind of policy has never bitten us in the arse in the past.

Are you saying countries do not have a right to patrol their shores?

And Iran is letting many ships go through, they are just making deals with countries directly and bypassing the US and the dollar.

The last time Iranians were allowed to choose for themselves we had a fit and installed a brutal dictator.

I don't know why you assume they want leadership who is just a puppet for the US.

Serious answer: Make them understand that they are done exporting oil. Not a single drop will leave Iran.

We literally just removed sanctions on Iranian (and Russian) oil to relieve prices
