Trump is trying to look as unhinged as possible for the best chance at a deal

That along with strikes on Kharg island are ratcheting up the pressure.
If you read about Japanese WWII history the major reason they surrendered is because they didn’t think they would survive as a nation unless they surrendered. They legitimately thought the Japanese people themselves wouldn’t survive.
To me it looks like that’s the angle that Trump is going for here before the deadline tonight.
This is the correct strategy instead of the bullshite we’ve seen for 50 years that has NOT worked.

Getting a deal before the deadline or taking the necessary steps to destroy the regime is a heck of a lot better than what the other Presidents have tried in the past.
I agree 100% with his strategy.

I actually think that in his feeble mind he thinks he is exerting pressure, because he thinks they think he's some crazy guy. But they know he does not have the stones or really the insanity to do what he is talking about.

He’s not getting any deals done with Iran. They’d rather be nuked off the face of the earth than capitulate to any of Trump’s demands. He can’t relate to or understand people with actual principles and conviction.
