The Daily Oklahoman reported yesterday that LSU and Texas have offered Tulsa's Demarco Cobbs, the top athlete in Ok.
Cobbs said that, "My three schools growing up, were LSU, Texas and Auburn. I really liked those three schools with the winning tradition and history they have."
Despite those offers, Cobbs says his recruitment is wide open and OU is high on his list.
"I'm not going to commit to anybody early. I'm going to wait things out."
Recruiting gurus, keep us posted!

Recruiting a kid from Oklahoma is a waste of time unless he has some unusal connection to LSU, imo.

Tennessee has done a good job recruiting Oklahoma. I will see what I can find out on Cobb asap.

Well it sounds like there is a good chance that Cobbs wants to leave the state but not really sure why.

LSU is as good as any in that case.

I bet Arkansas will make a push due to the location. It's less than 4 hours from Tulsa.

we need to find out what position he wants to play because Mack Brown is recruiting him as a receiver.

I hope they do.

That coupled with Arkansas' signing of multiple backs this year and already pursuing a host of them next year, hopefully they screw themselves with Dyer.

We are not recruiting him as a RB...He is an Athlete. Dyer is top priority and we may not sign another RB

LSU could have landed Kye Staley from OK a couple years ago, had we wanted him. He was a top 3 player in the state. Not sure if he had an OU offer.

What about D.J. Jones and Mack Brown? All athletes and what position will they play?

there's no "athlete" position and a coach always knows where they want to try to fit the guy in.

If we got Jones...more than likely a FB. Mack Brown will not be at Arky but we can't put all our eggs in one basket hoping we get Dyer.

Cobb will project at WR or S

no, we went to eureka springs a few weeks ago. it's about 30 miles from there. It took us around 3 1/2 hours. Of course there was a lot of construction so maybe that's why it took so long.

Ive driven from Tulsa to Fayetteville the last 6 weeks for work and if you take the turnpike(412) it takes an hour and 45 minutes at most!
