Is this finally the end for Spirit?

Seems like every couple of months, stories are run in the media that Spirit is about to shut down. Abd they always find a way to keep going.
Those stories are back this week,
It feels like they have been on thin ice for 2 years and I would think suddenly higher fuel prices are not good.

Well, the poors and the people of color will find another airline to fly, so I hope that spirit makes it through the troubled times, so that particular crowd can continue flying that airline

I may be alone in this but if spirit has a direct flight to my destination I choose it first. The planes are brand new and the big seats or the blocked middle seat option are the best deals in travel.
I don’t want or need beverages or crappy snacks or anything else. Just get me to where I’m going comfortably. Spirit does that every time
If they do go under that’s a shame.

Its cool to hate on them but they serve a purpose, Ive flown them in a pinch for cheap, never had an issue. Also they keep fares in check in markets they compete in.

Looks like they survived the weekend
Supposedly they are seeking a government bailout
Had the prior administration not crapped all over their merger, maybe they sound be in a better place now

Walking by the Spirit gate last weekend in Atlanta and seeing their customers was eye opening…
We vowed to never fly Spirit.
We vowed to never fly Spirit.

I’ve done it for flights less than 2 hrs where all I have is a backpack.
