Football, Baseball, and Basketball.

Is there rules against a sponsorship payout for the matchup?

Won't happen.....Texas is chickenshit!....and so is aTm. Texas won't even let Rice play LSU in Houston without repercussions. Face it, Texas doesn't want LSU anywhere IN Texas...the big 2 are CHICKENSHIT!

That is all!

Won't ever happen in football. LSU recruits Texas a lot more than Texas recruits Louisiana, so Texas doesn't have nearly as much - if anything - to gain from the game.

I think the NCAA should step in and stop this kind of gustopo treatment of these teams in Texas by the university of texas (notice small text).

Is it possible for the NCAA to step in and do something about it?

Just because they do not want to play LSU they should not be able to control another team from Texas from playing LSU if another team so desires.

Texas is chickenshit? They had the balls to schedule Ohio State home and home, and several others BCS teams during the Mack Brown era. WE are the ones who schedule APP fricking STATE and Tulane every year. That's boring. Give the fans at least ONE decent nc game a year...please!

A&M? I'm pretty sure we pulled out of that one. But yeah, frick em'.

Pretty sure Rice can do what they want...

I think he means chickenshit because of the recruiting repercussions and benefits LSU could potentially receive.

Not so much from that standpoint in Ohio

I agree...but we want to keep ours a little close too...besides, if we had 4 BCS teams in our state we'd watch our backs always.

I say they're chickenshit to play LSU! They don't want LSU in Texas FOR ANY REASON! As far as Rice, yeah they can do what they want, of course they can, but Texas has put their own sanctions on Rice. If Rice plays LSU IN HOUSTON, Texas will not schedule the Owls....and lets face it, thats a HUGE money game for Rice, and they need it. Did you not know this?

Texas is chickenshit when it comes to LSU... period. And i totally agree with you about the crappy cupcake games LSU plays OOC. i hate those games probably as much as the next guy. The chickenshit statement is about Texas when it comes to LSU!

You are correct. LSU pulled out of the series after getting beat 5 years in a row by A&M

Texas should win the NC in football every single year. Funny that this rarely happens.

eh, we were a 4 or 5 loss team, no Mauck, and still didn't get manhandled. Ran for almost 300 yards on texas, outagained them, and had a nice lead early that should have been bigger.....but for some unknown reason Saban refused to give proper help on Roy Williams. Williams beat us by himself. Their best play was throw a shitty pass and let Williams dominate.

I think it could happen. Texas A&M just signed something like a 10 year deal to play Arkansas every year in the new Cowboys stadium. As fans, as much as we'd like to think the program is concerned about recruiting and rankings.....they are not. It's all about money.

Personally, I don't like the idea of a neutral site unless it's in Louisiana. Baton Rouge gets a large economic boost (hotels, restuarants, etc.) everytime LSU has a home game. I'd hate to give that up.

wrong. that game was scheduled years before mack showed up in austin. they tried pushing it back and getting rid of the series all together, but couldnt. mack has gone on record many times stating how he doesnt like playing big time OOC opponents: i mean, how else would he win his 10 games/year?

yes, they beat us pretty soundly during the dark ages of LSU football, and the greatest run in aTm history. now, they will forever hide behind the "yall broke our series contract " but the reality is they know we would wax that arse. then again, who doesnt? i mean arkansas state waxed that arse @ kyle. bottom line is aggy would play us if they felt they could win. they know it aint gone happen, so they have some built in excuses

recruiting advantages
for the life of me, i will never undersatnd this reasoning. kids in TX have tvs, we play on tv pretty much every week. they know LSU exists. us showing up in austin would hardly rip all the top TX players. we will NEVER affect UT recruiting. they get who they want, when they want(assuming mack is willing to work for it, which is rare nowadays...). now, we can definantly hurt aggy/OU recruiting, but not the university of texas. thats a total cop-out for them.

right on bout Ohio State, I did forget about that being scheduled in the Mack...ovic era, ha! I like scheduling Washington. As shitty as they are, it's exposure to a BCS team trying to rebuild. I liked Arizona and Arizona State...even Fresno. UT used to litter themselves with those types of games too. That's all I was trying to say.

So basically, you are bitching at A&M for doing what we just did in the 90's? We are on our best run in the porgram's history (granted our history is better than A&M's) and we would pound their asses annually. It's funny that when they did it to us, we pulled out. We were the pussies...and now they are the pussies. I can't help but think they still do have a justified reason. That's one of my low moments as a Tiger...when we pulled out of the deal.
