No suprise. But I have a feeling he'll get a couple of offers and be back on a team soon.

yall have Sean Marshall....I can tell you that a lefty pitcher is the least of the Cubs issues.

Hasn't really been the same pitcher since he had Tommy John surgery in 2007.

The GM was recently quoted as saying his top priority in free agency was to get another left handed reliever.... but what does he know?

I hope the Rangers get him. I think Easy Eddie is done.

Yankees should sign him, I mean 32 saves and 2.95 ERA last year is not shabby.

Not being used every day would probably keep him healthy.

The Red Sox adding another arm would be incredible so I would love to see that, but outside of that I see him going to the Marlins as they are big on signing other teams castoffs.

Peter Gammons was on the radio earlier..i found it interesting what he said.

He said Jim Flanigan, BALT GM, is the best guy he knows when it comes to pitchers deliveries and how much stress they put on his arm.

he said Flanigan once told him he didnt know why everyone was praising Prior's mechanics, that he wouldnt pitch 600 innings in the MLB in his career. And he also told Gammons that the reason they let Ryan go was because of his delivery, and that an injury was imminent.

pretty cool tidbit

Do they really need another arm in the pen? They already have the best pen ERA in the majors.

Red Sox need another arm in pen so they can trade away some players to get a catcher...

It's a shame too. He was one of the best closers in baseball until his arm gave out.

Another catcher?! Are you crazy?! Everyone knows Varitek is the bestest ever and everyone would rather have him than Tex. frick he's even the CAPTAIN of the Red Sox!
