JPMorgan Chase & Co., already northeastern Louisiana's second-largest private employer, is adding 250 jobs at the company's mortgage records center in the Monroe Air Industrial Park.

Yeah, I know these aren't high paying jobs. But in this economy, the fact that Monroe has pulled in the V Vehicle plant, Gardner-Thomas, the Chase expansion and the chicken-plant reopening is impressive for a town this size.

BR, Lake Chuck, and Monroe are all doing very well in the last 18 months or so.

c'mon dude. the 10-foot diving board was the B-O-M-B.

The only problem is the aggregate on the bottom of the pool..holy crap that tore my feet up to no end. I don't think i ever left that pool without having bloody stumps for toes.

Shreveport/Bossier is booming also due to the shale. I just left there and the feeling is very upbeat even with the GM plant closing.
