I made a comment about Cutrera's poor performance on the football. Some people on this board feel that its wrong to make negative comments about LSU players. They feel if you say it like it is then your not a true LSU fan. I've been a LSU fan all my life and always will be. If you watch LSU Football the last few years you would know Cutrera is not a good LB. That does not mean he's not a good person because I believe he probably is a nice young man.
What upsets me is all the so called great recruiting classes we've had, why we don't have anybody good enough at the linebacker position thats better than Cutrera? This is the SEC and we need not fool ourselves about certain players starting on a defense that was so suspect last year til it wasn't funny. I'm sorry if anyone take it the wrong way but if you think we're going to be this great defense in 2009 you better consider who we have starting on this unit. I would like to leave you with this analogy. I truly believe we do have players who are better at that position. I think in the Les Miles era at LSU the better player doesn't always see the playing field. I don't care if the guy is a senior or junior etc, play the right people who will give you the best chance at winning. It sickens me sometimes as a LSU fan to watch slow players with no instincts (McCray, Cutrera) whatsoever get on the playing field to battle Florida, Georgia, Alabama,
Auburn etc. The SEC is speed, speed, and more speed. I know LSU has damn good talent all over the place, why not use it. PEACE!

And what background do you have in making this determination?

Oh, and before you answer, just know that 'watching a lot of football' is not an acceptable response.

Ugh.

Yep, that's right, Les likes to keep the best players on the sidelines. Hell, everybody knows that the best way to keep a great coaching job is by keeping the best players off the field.

Rummel, Im with you. The defensive coaches should confer with Ivan before making personnel decisions from now on. If they wouldve done so, we would have never offered No-Talent Cutrera from the start!

Who is in a better position to determine which players give LSU a better chance to win, You or the coaches? I'll give you a hint since you seem to need it...It is NOT you.

One thing that I'm certain of at lb,if Chavis has him in,then he deserves to be there. This ain't the co-op running lb's anymore. If he can't cut it for whatever reason, you'll see KS or Minter fairly soon.

I think for you to have any idea that you can judge better than Miles who should be on the field is rediculous.

LA has been pretty thin on LBs the last few years, and the has certainly contributed.

But Miles did an excellent job bringing those 2 LBs from GA.

I think Cutrera's biggest problem is staying healthy.

You may be right that Cutrera is not the best LB in the SEC, but he plays in a scheme and is apparently suited for it. But for you to think that you have a better idea of who should be on the field is absurd.

This is true, just like if someone spends 30 seconds reading your post, they will know that you are a moron.

So Cutrera is adequate LB, you must be a moron. I love LSU but I don't put blinders on. Find you some Lsu game footage and then you'll should see what I've seen. No I'm not a coach but I'm not an ignorant football fan either!

So, in other words, you have no reasoning other than 'he's no good'?

If you feel so strongly then give us some examples as to how he sucks.

Also, if you don't think he's the answer, then who is?

Ooh don't say this, don't say that about our players. As a fan I don't sit around and pretend someone is a good when they're not even close. Scary, Scary what some people called good football.

With bated breath, we await your advice to Coach Miles and Coach Chavis as to who should be out there. Please, do not disappoint, this is your big moment. I personally will deliver this thread to Coach Miles' office forthwith and posthaste.

Look, there's no talk of DM starting. Things have changed in one year. If you ain't the best, you don't play.Seniority crap was last year, thats why you'll see Nevis,JJ,PP,RR,and other guys playing ahead of guys older and more seasoned. If Cutera gets the start,he's the best we got=FACT!!

That's the scary part who is better than him. If thats all we got to offer than we're in big trouble.
We have all these top recruits the last few years. Man I'm not blaming cutrera, either you have or you don't. Its not his fault at all. I don't go around trying put someone down but this has been eating at me for a long time. Do really think Cutrera would start for damn near any SEC school. If you beleive
that crap then you need your head examined.
