Just think...for that game, Florida was a 17 point road favorite.

I was in the student section for my junior year of college. Still have endzone grass from that game...somewhere. Will always be my favorite LSU game ever. That was back when beating Florida felt like it would never happen. You can tell no one gave us a chance to win that game...I still love Franklin's call, "Hello there, wow. If you just joined us, the score you see is correct." I remember the roar of the crowd when Tommy Banks put us up 14-0. I even remember Jim Rome saying we had no shot, and if we beat Florida, he would only allow LA callers for an hour on his show.
Of course we shite the bed the next week against Ole Miss. We made Stewart Patridge look lilke a Heisman candidate that next week.
ETA: Thanks for posting that vid man. Hadn't seen it in a while. Used to have a video of that game, and would watch those same ten minutes over and over again.

My brother was at the game. I was 11 and remember watching it on TV with my dad.

I wish our announcer these days would be as "pro LSU" as the guy back then. Seems like it gets the crowd going more.

My dad got 35 yard line seats to that game for him and me. Those were the days. You could get tickets to the number one team in the country without remortgaging your house. What are tickets going for this year for Florida, 300-400 a piece?

I dont know if it was my first game but, I think that is the first year me and my dad starting getting our season tickets.
