New to the site. I follow the tigers on another pay site but always looking to follow the Tigers wherever I can.
Live on the MS coast and go to some of the HS games here. Went to last weeks OS-Tylertown game to see the Dickson kid.
By chance I sat next to a lady who was an English teacher at his school.
Overheard her talking before the game ref Dickson having a high ankle sprain and limping around at school.
He played the entire game (surprised he did) but had his left ankle taped heavily by end of game.
Was impressed with his toughness.
I know some have wondered if he's a FB or TE recruit for us given our current players at DE.
This kid played FB, TE (with nice reception), DE, and also deep snapper for punts. The deep snapper really surprised me and he may be more of a versatile player than I originally thought. All this while hobbling around on one leg. Kid is tough.
Going to see Wes Rea soon. I know he's a MS State baseball recruit but word over here is that he's still open to playing football. he may be down on our OL recruit board but I'll check him out anyway.
BTW, Tylertown had some very fast underclassmen skill players. Be interesting to see how they project next year in MS.
Going to see OS play Moss Point tonight. Will report back what I see from Dickson and what Moss Point may have.
Look forward to getting some good info here. Geaux Tigers!

LOL. I understand and try to filter them out as well.
Just want to share and discuss anything I can regarding kids recruited by the Tigers this way.

Thanks for the update, another poster from another board was saying that he hadnt looked as impressive recently, and perhaps this is why. Its good to see a new level-headed poster around here. Welcome

Actually in high school football anyone who can get the ball to the punter consistently plays deep snapper. size and other talent don't matter

wouldnt a non-idiot not have to double space every sentence to make it unreadable?

My friend coaches at Hancock HS & this is what he said after playing against Travis' team.

quote:
The boy could start for pretty much any of the middle of the pack teams in the sec!!! 6ft 2 245 and runs a 4.6 or faster. Very smart, very athletic and hard nosed. Played with a big spider bite that had his whole ankle swolle up. Also plays a little fullback, took 7-8 players to take him down. He better play Defensive End for yall. He might be better than his brother.
