In addition to it being the first real-time installation of Chief's D, and the fact that Washington has an SEC-style hostile road venue last night, and the fact that Jake Locker is one helluva QB, and the fact that Crowton did not open up hardly any of the real playbook.......

Yes, this was a bit of a dissapointment...

But unless you have had your eyes totally closed during the first few Miles years....

More playbook and playmakers will come forth in early Oct, but NOT BEFORE UNLESS absolutely needed..

And the D will settle in and learn a lot in the first 3-4 games....a LOT !!...The DLine will need to adjust a bit in scheme and play the best horses, which WILL happen in time for UGA

And JJ showed a lot of poise and good decision making....and we had a first time starter in T-Bob, and the line will need a cahnce to gel....

Keep that in mind folks

We are going to be much better than your perception at this point in time...Much better

Geaux Tigers !!

I sorta go the opposite view. They will show RR and new plays when they are up by 3 TDs against the next few teams (if). They will stay how they were last night in any close games.

How do you explain away our offensive line getting owned by a bad pac 10 defense?

Spurrier always ran it up in every game, and he won like 5 (or 6...I lose count) SEC titles. Not sure why playing it close to the vest helps.... unless you're SCARED!!!!!

How can you explain our DB's lining up so far back they could have returned punts?

You're exactly right but this is a theory LSU fans have developed during the Miles years. Every year I hear how we're keeping the offense under wraps until Florida or some other meaningful game. Its BS and you would think some would have caught on by now.

Ya'll are so fing retarded. LSU was lucky to win that game. They were outplayed pretty much the whole game. If it weren't for the pick 6 and UW fumbling, LSU loses. I just hate when tards don't look at the obvious, and try chaulking it up to Les or someone not wanting to show his cards. Why not predict that before the game then, and say it's going to be close.

I have to say I agree totally. Last year, I bought in to that theory. NEVER NEVER NEVER again. Florida showed their cards; Bama showed their cards, Notre Dame even showed their cards. I realize some of these were against much weaker opponents but don't you think it's time we actually tried to play every game as if it means something? I did not think this would be a blowout. I knew Washington would be much improved. However, if we don't change A LOT of things quickly, we will lose 6 games this year.

I agree with you on the "not showing your cards" thoughts. However I do think that the play calling was conservative by design. Not holding anything back expect what JJ and JL have not proved they can execute - which appears to be a lot. They're still young though.

I think 6 loss predictions are an over reaction though. Could it happen...yes. Will it happen...probably not. The team, defense and QB will improve with every game. Will we lose some...yes. We all thought that going into this game. I am not sure what has changed.

Yeah I agree with freek, the dbs traveled 2500 miles back to Baton Rouge to play off the ball. If they do that with a Julio Jones, I hate to say that will be an extremely dumb thing. You cannot just give a football team five and ten yards each time. LSU has just as fast and strong of athletes as anyone and they have to utilize that by playing press coverage and knocking the receiver off the route more.

6 games this year? Wow!!! Way to completely flip out. Did we play bad? Yes. But it was the very first game! And we were playing a team that almost every major publication I read before the season started say this team was going to be one of the biggest surprise teams of the year. Yes we need to bring our safeties at least inside the stadium and we also need to stop trying to run the ball up the middle when it's very obvious that the middle isn't open. But once again, we are 1-0 and not 0-1 so please don't completely abandon all logical thoughts off of 1 game. We played a very good team that was coming off a horrible year and had a lot to prove. We will get better
